This Canadian cultural experience is located in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada.
- This opportunity provides the learner an interactive facilitated environment with a host of daily instructors.
We offer activities in these disciplines:
- sports and recreation; including instruction
- orienteering and hiking
- artisan courses; including: pottery, leather work, glass work
- storytelling and traditional folklore
- music and drama
- gardening and landscaping
- sailing and kayaking; whale watching and wildlife observation
For a group of 6 traveling together, activities can be custom designed at the groups' request; for example: golfing and touring may be the requested daily activities for the program.
- All of the instructors are professionally certified and English-1st language.
- The Live-in Learn program may be customized to groups of six individuals. The program can focus on one or more disciplines and can accommodate interest in specialized instruction at the request of the clients. With prior arrangement, the Live-in Learn team can design a program that includes academic and trade school exploration if desired.
- LinL encourages interactive daily learning in English for our guests. Our safe and secure home is located in a vibrant rural community. We have a charming farmhouse with modern conveniences that will comfortably accommodate our guests. LinL has a full-time chef and care-giver to assist the guests in their daily living and immersion in the English language. LinL also has a full-time on-site program administrator who will accompany the participants on excursions.
- The LinL program includes excursions to places of interest, historical sites, museums, cultural events, and entertainment venues. Excursions to recreational and social activities will occur regularly.
- Cape Breton is accentuated with: clean, safe, beaches; fresh water lakes and rivers; an abundance of wildlife; mountains and forests; and friendly, compassionate people.
